One Day in Oklahoma City | So Much Fun to Explore! 🏍️
I came to OKC this time mainly because I booked the Wheels on Rails 🏍️ experience online. Since it felt like a waste to come all this way just for one activity 😂, I decided to stay overnight and explore Oklahoma City properly. If you ever find yourself in OKC for any reason, follow my guide for a fun-filled one-day trip! Attractions: 1️⃣ Myriad Botanical Gardens (Ticket: $10.50/person) 🌳 A compact but beautiful indoor botanical garden with a wide variety of plants. The highlight? Their gift shop has a Jellycat plush section 🧸—such a smart business move! 2️⃣ Water Taxi (Online: $13/person; On-site: $15/person) 🛥️ Located in Bricktown, this 45-minute water taxi ride comes with a guided tour—similar to San Antonio’s Riverwalk! 🚤 3️⃣ Wheels on Rails ($50/person) 🏍️ The main reason for my trip! Tickets must be booked in advance (currently available through mid-May). This unique rail biking experience is only available on select days (usually twice a week) since it runs on active railways. So much fun! ❤️ The ride lasts about an hour, and staff take free photos of you during the tour. 📸 Food & Drinks 🍴 1️⃣ The Chalkboard ☕ I was surprised by how many chic restaurants OKC has! This one is especially beautiful—modern yet elegantly classic 😍. Highly recommend their Soy Latte and Crab Cake Benedict 👌. The Bread Pudding French Toast was just okay. 2️⃣ Pho Lien Hoa (Cash Only 💵) 🍜 Really delicious! I tried their recommended Hu Tien My Tho—a crystal noodle soup with a rich, savory broth 😘. Generous portions and their fried spring rolls were also amazing! 3️⃣ Arbuckle Mountain Fried Pie 🍑 Recommended by a local—so I had to stop by on my way home! The line was long but worth it. Their peach pie and chocolate pie were both tasty 🍫. The peach was less sweet—very American-style. Delicious, but don’t overindulge! 😂 #OklahomaCity #OKC #OneDayInOKC #OklahomaTravel #HiddenGems #USATravel 🚗✨🇺🇸
