Luckily for us, the largest free outdoor drive-through holiday light display in the region is The Aurora Festival of Lights , and it’s only an hour drive from Chicago. Returning for its 19th year, visitors can enjoy a mile of bedazzling lighted displays from the comfort of the car while turning on the stereo to beloved holiday-themed jingles . Displays include jumping reindeer, ice skating bears, old man winter, howling wolves, the holiday golfer, Santa’s toy factory, and fields of gigantic snowflakes, along with new displays.
