Paik's Noodle โ€“ Korean Jajangmyeon in Chicago ๐Ÿœ

๐Ÿ“ Paikโ€™s Noodle (Glenview) 1615 Milwaukee Ave Suite 105, Glenview, IL 60025 This street is packed with Korean spots and vibe-y eateries โ€” perfect if you want that authentic โ€œK-variety showโ€ feel! ๐ŸŽฌ For those who watch Culinary Class Wars / Chef and the Fatman โ€” the famous judge Paik Jong-won (๋ฐฑ์ข…์›) is the man behind this brand! Just seeing โ€œPaikโ€™sโ€ makes you think of him ๐Ÿ˜‚ (Even if you donโ€™t watch the show, it wonโ€™t affect the taste โ€” but fans will feel extra connected โœจ) ๐Ÿœ What I ordered: Meat Jajangmyeon โœ… So good I want to come back โ€” 5/5! Noodles: Smooth but not mushy, with a nice chew โ€” doesnโ€™t get soggy even after mixing with sauce. Sauce: My favorite part โ€” rich but not overly sweet or salty, perfectly balanced and super savory. Itโ€™s thick but doesnโ€™t feel heavy (I kept wanting to mix it in till the last bite!). Meat: Generous amount of meat strips with crispy onions โ€” adds great texture and aroma. Sides: Yellow pickled radish + raw onions โ€” just right to cut through the richness. ๐Ÿ’ฐ Price reference: Regular Jajangmyeon ~$12.95 | Meat version ~$14.95 (what I ordered) โš ๏ธ Only downside: Itโ€™s pretty far if you live downtown โ€” located in the northwest suburbs (Glenview), so youโ€™ll need to drive out specially for it ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿฅฒ #GlenviewEats #ChicagoFood #KoreanFood #Jajangmyeon #PaiksNoodle #BaekJongWon
