Pakistan is one of my favorite countries. ⭐️ World Heritage Sites: Pakistan is home to six major UNESCO World Heritage Sites, some of which consist of multiple heritage points. 1⃣️ Mohenjo-Daro Archaeological Ruins – The final stop on my journey to trace the origins of the four ancient civilizations. This is the birthplace of the Indus Valley Civilization, one of the world's oldest, and features the earliest urban drainage system ever discovered. 2⃣️ Lahore Fort and Shalimar Gardens – A masterpiece of Mughal artistry. Beyond the fort, there’s also the stunning Pink Mosque (Wazir Khan Mosque) and the surrounding tombs on the outskirts of Lahore. 3⃣️ Rohtas Fort – The largest defensive fortress in South Asia, bearing witness to centuries of historical conflicts on the subcontinent. 4⃣️ Taxila – The cradle of Buddhism’s spread beyond the Ganges region and the heart of Gandhara. With 18 heritage sites, most of them rich in aesthetic value, you can explore early Buddhist stupas and statues, as well as numerous rock-carved Buddha images. 5⃣️ Takht-i-Bahi – An ancient stronghold of the Gandhara region, known for its concentration of monastic schools. Perched on a hill, the site offers breathtaking panoramic views of the ruins. #Pakistan #PakistanTravel#travel guide#TravelRecommendations#trip diary#pakistan guide#Lahore Fort#Takht-i-Bahi Buddhist Monastery#taxila#Mohenjo-Daro#Rohtas Fort# Lahore
