Perfect 4-Day Thanksgiving Trip: Kansas City & St. Louis 🍁✨
Escaped for a relaxing pre-holiday road trip from Iowa, and off-peak travel was the best decision! Spent 1 night in KC and 2 in STL—both are perfect for a short, sweet getaway. 🌆 Took it easy, so there's plenty left to explore next time! 🩵 Kansas City Highlights: Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art: Free entry! Saw works by Van Gogh and Monet 🎨. Don’t miss the iconic shuttlecock sculptures on the lawn. 🏸 Kansas City Public Library: Stopped for photos at the famous "book facade." 📚 Union Station: A classic urban landmark. 🍽️ KC Eats: Gyū-Kaku: Reliable and tasty. Jumbo Noodle’s Bar: Amazing value! Huge portions for the price. 🍜 🩵 St. Louis Highlights: Gateway Arch National Park: 🏞️ Didn’t ride up but enjoyed the views. Street parking available. City Museum: Looked fun from outside—next time! ☔ The Cathedral Basilica: Absolutely stunning! A must-see. ⛪ Forest Park: Massive (bigger than Central Park?!). Perfect for a sunny day stroll. 🌳 🍽️ STL Eats (Chinese food heaven!): Cate Zone: Northeastern Chinese—crispy Guo Bao Rou and delicious skewers. 😋 Tai Ke: Incredible Taiwanese dishes—stir-fried clams and bamboo shoots were favorites! 🥢 Mei Wei Mei Ke: Tasty mala tang—broth was on point! 🍲 🛒 Bonus: Both cities have a Pan-Asia supermarket—clean, organized, and with a great food court! A must-visit for Asian groceries. 🛍️ A cozy, food-filled autumn trip—highly recommend! 🚗💨 #ThanksgivingTrip #RoadTrip #KansasCity #StLouis #MidwestTravel #FallGetaway #ArtMuseum #Foodie #ChineseFood #USA #TravelDiary #GatewayArch #CathedralBasilica #ForestPark #AsianSupermarket
