Personal Thoughts on Kathmandu's Tourist Attractions

🍎 Patan Durbar Square ❗Cons: 🌿It's quite small, and there seems to be no one managing the ticket sales at the square. If you come here without knowing much about it, you might feel lost. 🌟When you walk into the museum inside, they will ask for your ticket, but I noticed hardly anyone was going in, so I didn't buy one. Maybe it's beautiful inside, but you can check reviews from those who have been in. I assumed that the lack of visitors meant it wasn't worth it, so I left. 🩵Pros: ✨Compared to the bustling center of Kathmandu, this area is more peaceful and laid-back. It's fun to play with the dogs here. The shops and people along the streets seem more relaxed than in the city center, and the prices are more reasonable. 🌈 If you have enough time, you can meditate here, watch the pigeons fly, and there are many cafes around where you can spend a day daydreaming. If you're in a rush to see sights, this might not be the place for you. 🍎 Kathmandu Durbar Square ❗Cons: 🌿People are entering and leaving freely, and although it's stated that locals pay 500 NPR, no one seems to be buying tickets. Foreigners are targeted and asked to pay 1000 NPR. 🌟It's very noisy and chaotic. Those who don't understand the culture or don't speak English well might find it difficult and confusing. I overheard an English-speaking guide giving very brief and uninformative introductions that weren't as detailed as the information provided on the ticket's accompanying leaflet. Beware of scams as well. 🩵Pros: ✨The architecture from various periods is beautiful, offering a glimpse of multiple styles in one place. The pigeons flying around, the simple yet beautiful temples, and the wooden carvings on the pillars are all impressive. It's a place where you can still enjoy some meditation , but it's too noisy for my taste. 🌈 If I had to choose, I'd prefer to spend time in Patan Square. The leaflet included with the ticket is very informative; even if your English isn't good, you can scan the map and match the temples one by one. #Nepal #NepalTravel #Kathmandu# Kathmandu Durbar Square# Patan Durbar Square#Kathmandu guide#trip diary#travel guide#Lalitpur# Kathmandu Durbar Square
