Quebec City Must-Eat Food Guide

Stop 2 on Our Toronto Road Trip — Quebec City 🍽 Le Lapin Sauté ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our group of four didn’t even need to think about ordering—the server immediately recommended two platters that covered most of their signature dishes. The ambiance was a perfect 5/5! ✨ Highlights: Duck foie gras with house-made fruit jam (rich but not greasy) Duck leg (like a simpler version of Peking duck) ⚠️ Note: The rabbit (their namesake dish) was overcooked according to my friends. 📅 Reservations are a must! This tiny spot was fully packed 10 minutes after we arrived at 4 PM. 🥐 Paillard ⭐️⭐️ Missed out on their famous Napoleon, so tried the Opera cake instead. "Not too sweet" is the highest praise I can give it. 🍫 Chocolats Favoris 💣 Their chocolate ice cream is painfully sweet—consider yourself warned! 🥹 🍳 La Chope Gobeline ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (Near Quebec City) Walked into this Nordic-style bistro filled with French-speaking locals. At 1 PM, only the last two pages of the menu were available, so we went for the all-you-can-eat brunch. ✨ Highlights: Free bread basket (so good we asked for seconds!) Date-paste dessert (very sweet, but unique) 💰 Great value for the cozy vibe and solid service! 🍷 Pub D’Orsay ⭐️ A popular spot with a lively bar scene (perfect for day drinking). Sadly, the food was our biggest letdown of the trip: 🚫 Gritty mussels 🚫 "Just okay" pork chops and paella 🚫 Mediocre escargots 💡 Go for drinks, not dinner! Final Tip: For Goblin fans, many filming locations are walkable from these restaurants! #QuebecCity #QuebecFood #CanadaTravel #Foodie #TorontoRoadTrip #CanadianStudentLife
