Hark! On a misty morn in fair Quebec City, my noble companion Chloe did lead me to a wondrous establishment—La Chope Gobeline, a tavern most magical and true to the days of olde!
With banners aloft and goblets at the ready, we did step through the doors and were at once transported to a realm of fantasy and feasting. As loyal lovers of Dungeons & Dragons and all things mythical, we felt as though we were but moments from embarking on a grand quest (after a hearty meal, of course!).
Though my tongue is not versed in the language of the land (alas, my French is but fledgling), our gracious server did take swift notice and spoke with kindness and ease, making me feel most welcome in this enchanted hall.
And lo! The feast! Chloe and I did share a cauldron of savory stew, a divine pulled pork poutine (worthy of bardsong), and a slice of chai cheesecake so delectable it must’ve been conjured by wizards. Chloe also sipped from the Herbalist’s finest brew—a mystical tea that warmed her soul.
We departed with bellies full and spirits lifted, our hearts brimming with joy. To all adventurers passing through Quebec, heed this call: visit La Chope Gobeline and dine like the heroes of legend!
We shall return, oh yes—we shall return.
TL;DR: Amazing medieval vibes, incredible food, and super accommodating service—especially for non-French speakers like me! A must-visit for any fantasy nerds in Quebec City! 10/10, would roll for...
Read moreI recently booked La Chope Gobeline for a birthday party of over 20 people, and I have to say, the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. I made the reservation a week in advance through email, and they were incredibly responsive, answering all of my questions quickly, kindly, and with great efficiency. They even let us bring our own cake, which was a wonderful touch that made the celebration even more special.
On the night of the party, everything went perfectly. All of our guests had an amazing time, and everyone left with smiles on their faces. The staff was incredibly helpful throughout the evening. Special shoutout to Lina, who was responsible for our group. She was simply awesome—energetic, kind, cool, and so accurate in managing her tables. Lina made sure that everything ran smoothly and that all of our needs were met, all with a friendly attitude that really made the night even better.
The vibe at La Chope Gobeline is truly wonderful. If you’re part of a lively, energetic group that loves to have fun, this is the perfect spot for you. The atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s definitely a place that knows how to cater to a good time.
Highly recommend this place for any large group celebration! Thanks again to the team at La Chope Gobeline for making the night...
Read moreThis place is the real deal if you ever wanted to time travel to a medieval feast without the pesky plague.
First off, the food. Oh man, the French onion soup is what dreams are made of. Seriously, it's like a bowl of happiness with all that cheesy, oniony goodness. Everything else was top-notch too, but that soup? Mind-blowing.
The medieval vibes are on point. Think wooden barrels, steel mugs, and a whole lot of "ye olde" charm. It's like LARPing but with better food and no foam swords. And the cider? Pure gold. Refreshing, crisp, and just the right buzz to keep the evening merry.
Now, about the minstrel. This guy was a riot! He belted out "Nothing Else Matters," the Zelda theme song, and even the Super Smash Bros theme. Who knew a medieval troubadour could rock out to video game music? Hilarious and awesome.
The staff? Super energetic and made the whole experience even better. They were like the knights of the hospitality round table. Plus, they accept mobile pay. No need to juggle coins or cards, just tap and you’re good to go.
Check out the pics to see the feast. If you're in Quebec and want a unique dining experience, La Chop Goblin is where it’s at. Great food, great drinks, great laughs – it’s a medieval party you don’t want to...
