Rainbow Symmetry Castle | Oklahoma State Capitol 👢🏛️

They said this place is photogenic… But I had no idea JUST HOW photogenic! 😍📸 ✨ Neoclassical meets Greco-Roman design ✨ 184-foot high dome ✨ Hand-painted colorful murals ✨ Full marble surroundings ✨ Perfectly symmetrical architecture I couldn’t stop taking pictures! If the Texas Capitol in Austin is political vibes, Oklahoma’s Capitol is all about art 🎨. The first floor even has a historical exhibit about the building’s construction: 📅 Built 1914 – Opened 1917 – Renovated 2002 Keep an eye out 👀 — you’ll spot Native American, cotton, and cowboy motifs throughout the building. (Interesting fact: Oklahoma has the largest Native American population in the U.S.!) And here’s the wildest part: the capitol was built right on top of an active oil well 🛢️⚙️ (there are still many around the area!). History buffs, you’ll love digging into this state’s past. Every section—even the office wings—is open and interesting to explore! Even the elevator indicators look like vintage clocks 🕰️⏳. There’s also a cute snack bar on the first floor selling sandwiches, snacks, and drinks 🥪☕. #Oklahoma #StateCapitol #TravelOKC #ArchitectureLovers #HiddenGems
