Ready to Take the Plunge? Registration is Now Open For the 2026 Chicago Polar Plunge
Think you’ve got what it takes to brave the icy waters of Lake Michigan for a good cause? Then you might be the perfect candidate for the 2026 Chicago Polar Plunge! Chi-Town Polar Plunge ’26 ------------------------- The annual tradition is back on Sunday, March 1, at North Avenue Beach, with proceeds going towards Special Olympics Illinois. Organizer Special Children’s Charities has set a goal of $2 million for this year’s plunge. The 2025 plunge saw a turnout of 4,800 participants, for a total of $1.8 million raised, according to CBS Chicago. This year, organizers are anticipating a turnout of 5,000 plungers.
