Restaurant Week Visit in Chicago 🍽️✨
Tried Oceanique this time! Didn’t expect to find a French seafood spot in Evanston with a $100+ regular price point — but Restaurant Week dinner was $59 per person. Overall, $59 was totally worth it! The meal included: 🥂 A complimentary amuse-bouche 🍧 A palate-cleansing sorbet 🥗 Starter choices — we had chicken liver pâté and ravioli (yep, Italian-style dumplings in a French restaurant 😄) 🍽️ Mains — sea bass and confit duck leg 🍮 Dessert — panna cotta and apple pie If I didn’t think of it as fine French dining, the flavors were actually pretty nice! But having lived in France before, I couldn’t help comparing — and honestly, most casual French bistros there still win by a mile (the food competition there is just next-level 🥖🇫🇷). Verdict: ✅ Great for Restaurant Week — worth trying! ❌ Probably not for regular visits — doesn’t quite justify the usual price tag. #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #FrenchSeafood #EvanstonEats #FineDiningOnABudget #FoodieReview
