Review of the Highly Talked-about Renée in Nice (No Guang)
On my last night in Nice, I visited the much-debated and trendy Renée. I ordered three alcoholic drinks and one soft drink, all of which were quite enjoyable. For food, I tried the mint-roasted chicken, beef tongue, Italian wontons, foie gras risotto, and tiramisu. 🍗 Mint-Roasted Chicken I ordered this dish on a whim, and it was a great choice! The chicken skin is crispy, while the inside is tender and juicy. Paired with mint, cream sauce, and sesame sauce, it's subtly flavored but very rich. Highly recommended! 🌿 🥩 Beef Tongue Another blind pick, and it was delicious! The beef tongue is very tender with a firm texture, topped with crushed chili and a thick black pepper sauce (not the usual thin black pepper gravy). It's really tasty! 🌶️ 🇮🇹 Italian Wontons A classic dish, served with either beef or porcini mushrooms. This dish is pretty standard—if you haven't tried it before, you might skip it. 🥟 🦢 Foie Gras Risotto I finally tried the famous 48€ foie gras risotto. Overall, it has a very French flavor profile, with a light taste. The rice is slightly tangy (which is normal!), and the foie gras isn't overly greasy. It's a typical foie gras dish, but if you usually avoid liver, you might want to pass. 🍔 🎂 Tiramisu The only dish I wouldn't recommend. The main part is very dry and not moist, and it's extremely sweet. The addition of raspberry and other jams is not a wise choice. 🥧 ⭐️ Big Praise for the Service! The lovely waitresses were all so kind and even took a free instant photo for us that turned out great! And guess what? There's no service charge here! 😊 🌴 Bonus: The Location This restaurant is right by the sea, with an amazing view. It's perfect for enjoying a blue hour with friends! You can sit outside, but we reserved a table in the middle of the restaurant. The location is fantastic—not only can you see the sea, but the interior is also beautifully decorated. 🌊 #WorthTheHype #food #Nice #MustTry #DeliciousFood
