Rhode Island Eats | Bread in the Garden

📍Seven Star Bakery (Jewelry District, 103 Point St) This branch shares a lovely little garden with the bar next door—hydrangeas are in full bloom right now, absolutely gorgeous! đŸ„ Crispy Cheese Twist $4 Is this popular around here? I had a few in Boston last time too. The cheese is flavorful and truly crispy, đŸŒŒthough the crispiness doesn’t come from the pastry itself—the layers are a bit dry and hard, but the cheese saves the day. đŸ„Pastiche Fine Desserts (92 Spruce St) Famous for their fruit tart—got lucky and didn’t even have to wait in line! The shop feels like an old-school bakery, similar to Martha’s or Mia’s in New York, though with fewer options. 🍰 Fruit Tart $9.5+tax Tasty, but not mind-blowing. The fruits are fresh, but they don’t harmonize well with the tart base and custard đŸ„ŹTricycle Ice Cream (70 Battey St) Cute logo of a bear riding a tricycle, and the handwritten menu is adorable. An older couple in front of us bought a dozen, while my friend and I struggled to guess which flavors wouldn’t be overly sweet. #Providence #RhodeIslandFood #NYTravel
