Last year, I loved their affordable truffle dinner β so my friend and I booked early this year. Sadly, it didnβt live up to memories. π Special White Truffle Pasta β Added to pasta of choice, but the noodles were soft and bland β nowhere near Monteverdeβs level. π¦ Squid + Polenta β Boiled squid in tomato sauce β underseasoned and uninspired. π Pappardelle with Beef + Porcini β Barely any mushroom aroma this time, though beef portion was still generous. π° Tiramisu β Just okay β nothing special. π Forgotten Monkfish Dish β Waiter missed it, so they comped a panna cotta β nice gesture, but still annoying. Was planning to book them for Chicago Restaurant Week, but canceled after this meal. Their set menu is still a good deal, so maybe it was an off night?
