Road Trip from Boston to Chicago with Two Moms and a Dog Corning Stop
We hit the road from Boston to Chicago with both moms (my mom and mother-in-law) and Soba, aiming for a relaxed and easy-going vibe. While the moms explored indoor attractions, I hung out with Soba outdoors. 📍 First Stop: Corning, NY Corning feels like a theme park built around the Corning Company. The main attraction is basically Market St—a small commercial street you can stroll slowly in about 15 minutes. If you skip the Corning Museum of Glass, there really isn’t much else to see. The town is split by the Chemung River. In the morning, a walk along the Centerway Walking Bridge offers a full view of Corning’s global headquarters. Surprisingly for a publicly-traded company, the HQ is just three stories tall, with an all-glass Japanese-inspired design. 🏢🌉 ☕️ Soul Full Cup Coffeehouse This was probably the liveliest spot in town in the morning. I waited outside with a coffee while the moms were at the museum, and Soba lounged by my feet. Almost every passerby stopped to say hello—so much that even the pup got tired from all the socializing! 🐕☕️😊 #BostonRoadTrip #CorningNY #CorningMuseumOfGlass #AustralianShepherd
