THE WORST COFFEE SHOP IN THE US.
I don't usually give bad ratings to coffee shops, but this place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am a frequent traveler, also known as a globetrotter. I have visited coffee shops all over the world and love the different experiences, trends, and coffee blends served in these shops. I especially appreciate when baristas show pride, happiness, and knowledge. I have been going to Soul Full Cup for about a week and noticed that the baristas are nice but felt uncomfortable in satisfying my simple request: I like the milk in the espresso lukewarm and not boiling. This task is as simple as shutting down the steamer quicker. One cashier in particular saw me walking in, and every single time, her expression changed from dry to unpleasant. This morning, she told me that in their Sunday night staff meeting, they decided to stop making Cortados. The first thing that came to my mind was, who holds staff meetings on Sunday night? Then, is steaming milk lukewarm rocket science? Anyway, after I told her I got the message and that I was no longer welcome at the coffee shop, the cashier smiled joyfully and nodded. It is interesting how lousy news brings out the best in some people. . . go figure.
What happened to customer service? Soul Full Cup needs to find its Soul as there are lots of Full but no Souls for customer care. This is my first, and I hope last, "Worst Coffee Shop" rating that I will write; not even Starbucks gets this lousy rating. But looking at the bright side, at least I received a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame out for a day trip to visit the Corning Museum. Afterwards drove around to see what was in the area. Decided to stop for a coffee or a drink at this place. This place left a bad taste in my whole being! After purchasing a hot Macchiato I stood watching my Barista make my order. He steams a whole cup of milk and proceeds to scoop with a spoon only the foam into my cup. After I received my drink, there was only coffee and no milk what so ever. I asked him to please put some of the milk he steamed for my coffee into my cup. He proceeded to tell me I had to buy a whole new drink in oder to add milk to my cup. How am I supposed to pay for two drinks when I am only drinking one. It makes no sense. He continued to repeat himself and there for thats it I reached my limit! I want a refund! He proceeded to say sorry I cant do that. I asked to speak to a manager and he went on to dial on his cell phone. He then came back with a refund with less of an amount than what I paid for. Completely disappointed, dissatisfied, and disgusted with the fact that not one but the two barista's that were working were miserable and rude. Poor service, lack of customer service, and plain out rude. I guess customer satisfaction does not fall in their mission statement at all. After the bad experience I had in this place, I didn't even bother sticking around. I decided to get back in my car and head back to my home town! Completely disappointed thanks to this so...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTraveling through NY, I made a special stop because I loved the name of this cafe, and reviews were so good. The barista who took my order was amazing - really sweet. The other barista seems to hate her job and customers, and also needs some espresso training. While making my drink, she kept pausing to enjoy big bites of her dinner. Which was gross and disrespectful. š³ Seriously, donāt eat your meal while preparing food for customers. My order was simple - āOat milk cap, a little less hot. They were out of oat milk, the foam was very weird, and my drink came out PIPING hot. For a $6.00 drink, it just wasnāt at all what I had asked for, so I kindly requested a remake. The sweet barista stepped right up and made it with apologies - the other barista just looked so fed up, gave me the side-eye and dove back into eating her dinner. Not the soulful vibe I had...
