Route 66: Oklahoma City & Amarillo 🚗🌾
Tulsa (OK) → Oklahoma City (OK) → Amarillo (TX) Day 3: Oklahoma City 🥤🤠 Stopped in Arcadia to see the giant soda bottle sculpture 🍼 and grabbed a refreshing Root Beer at the shop next door! OKC feels like one big ranch — life moves slowly here (waiting for food takes forever 😅). As the heart of cowboy culture, it’s home to the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum 🏛️🤠—a must for fans of Western history and sharpshooting legends like McCrea. Food here? Mostly meat 🥩🐄… and more meat. Don’t expect fancy cuisine! Day 4: Amarillo, Texas ❄️🍖 Colder than expected—night temps dropped to 3-5°C! 🥶 Visited the legendary Big Texan Steak Ranch 🐄🔪, famous for its 72oz steak challenge 🥩⏳: finish it in time, and it’s free! I took one look at that giant steak and happily ordered a 12oz portion instead 😂. The BBQ style here is rugged—my “medium-well” steak arrived well-done. Still hearty and satisfying! Also explored nearby Route 66 gems: abandoned cars covered in graffiti 🎨🚗 and the Midpoint Café ☕—the halfway point of the Mother Road! #USA #Oklahoma #Route66 #RoadTrip #Texas #CowboyCountry #TravelDiary
