Runny Ube Burger — A Taste of the Philippines 🍔💜

I first wrote about Kathy’s A Taste of the Philippines when it was just a stall in the French Market. Her story is truly inspiring: born in Manila, moved to the US in ’92, worked as an accountant before discovering her passion for cooking — starting with a food truck, then a market stall, and now her own little restaurant! 🍔 Runny Yolk Longanisa Breakfast Sandwich – A new menu item since the food hall days! Stuffed with sweet Filipino sausage (more generous and authentic than Kasama’s) and melty cheese. For a little extra, upgrade to the purple ube bun — so worth it. This bun alone could sell as ube pandesal. Highly recommend! 🍔 Breakfast Lumpia – Classic lumpia, but with an AM twist: filled with egg, cheese, and ham. 🍔 Pandan Latte – A bit too sweet for me, tasted more like vanilla latte — order with caution if you prefer less sugar. 🍠 Ube Donut – An OG menu item, but leans American-style sweet. Kathy herself is warm and helpful — if you’re undecided, she’ll gladly recommend something.
