Saki Sushi Bar โ€“ A Malaysian-Chinese Owned Japanese Gem in Oklahoma!

Our dinner in Oklahoma City was at this cozy sushi spot โ€“ Saki Sushi Bar. As soon as we walked in, we heard Mandarin being spoken ๐Ÿ˜ฒ, and initially thought it was another case of Chinese immigrants running a Japanese restaurant in the U.S. But after chatting with the owner, we discovered the delightful truth: heโ€™s actually a Malaysian Chinese from Fujian ancestry! ๐Ÿฎ The owner is super friendly and energetic ๐ŸŽ‰ โ€“ fluent in both Hokkien and Mandarin โ€“ and loves chatting with customers. His girlfriend is from Inner Mongolia, China โค๏ธ. The restaurant was already buzzing with customers even before 5 PM (way before peak dinner time!) โ€“ definitely a popular spot! The food was delicious ๐Ÿฑ โ€“ fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The owner was genuinely kind and even advised us not to order too much so we wouldnโ€™t waste food ๐Ÿ™Œ. How refreshing! ๐Ÿ’ต Our total bill was $144, and we left a $28 tip (making it $172 total) โ€“ well worth it for the great food and warm service! ๐Ÿ“Saki Sushi Bar (Note: Address not provided in original text โ€“ you may want to add it if known!) #OKCEats #SushiLovers #JapaneseFood #MalaysianChinese #FamilyBusiness #FoodWithHeart #OklahomaFoodScene #SupportLocal #HiddenGem #NoWaste ๐Ÿฑ
