Saki Sushi Bar โ A Malaysian-Chinese Owned Japanese Gem in Oklahoma!
Our dinner in Oklahoma City was at this cozy sushi spot โ Saki Sushi Bar. As soon as we walked in, we heard Mandarin being spoken ๐ฒ, and initially thought it was another case of Chinese immigrants running a Japanese restaurant in the U.S. But after chatting with the owner, we discovered the delightful truth: heโs actually a Malaysian Chinese from Fujian ancestry! ๐ฎ The owner is super friendly and energetic ๐ โ fluent in both Hokkien and Mandarin โ and loves chatting with customers. His girlfriend is from Inner Mongolia, China โค๏ธ. The restaurant was already buzzing with customers even before 5 PM (way before peak dinner time!) โ definitely a popular spot! The food was delicious ๐ฑ โ fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The owner was genuinely kind and even advised us not to order too much so we wouldnโt waste food ๐. How refreshing! ๐ต Our total bill was $144, and we left a $28 tip (making it $172 total) โ well worth it for the great food and warm service! ๐Saki Sushi Bar (Note: Address not provided in original text โ you may want to add it if known!) #OKCEats #SushiLovers #JapaneseFood #MalaysianChinese #FamilyBusiness #FoodWithHeart #OklahomaFoodScene #SupportLocal #HiddenGem #NoWaste ๐ฑ
