Seattle | East District | High Value for Money 🍝
⏰ Reservation: OpenTable 💰 Average Cost: $60 before tax and tip I made a reservation for an Italian restaurant near Totem Lake on Christmas Eve. Unlike traditional Italian restaurants with old-fashioned decor and dim yellow lighting, this place has a very cozy ambiance with brighter lighting; the shelves are filled with a variety of wines, and the wine list is extensive. The restaurant is quite spacious, suitable for both large family gatherings and intimate family dates. Dish Recommendations and Avoidances: 👍🏻 Pre-meal Soft Baguette The warm soft baguette with large pores, crispy outside and soft inside, is something most people would enjoy. Breaking it open and spreading a little butter, the enzymes in saliva react with the bread, creating a chemical reaction that spreads a faint sweetness mixed with wheat aroma in the mouth. 👍🏻 Starter: Calamari alla Diavola, $19 Tangy and sweet squid rings. The small squid rings are very tender, served with a slightly spicy tomato soup + olives + capers, squeeze some lemon juice as needed, making it a great appetizer. 👍🏻 Main Course Pasta: 🍝 Linguine alla Norcina, $24 Looks ordinary but tastes extraordinary, like an upgraded version of university cafeteria food. The Italian sausage is generously portioned, and the sauce made with cream + black pepper + Parmesan cheese is creamy but not at all greasy. The pasta is cooked a bit soft, which is the texture I like. The ratio of sauce, meat, and pasta is just right: each bite is coated with an appropriate amount of meat and sauce, and nothing is left after finishing the whole dish. 🍝 Linguine Tutto Mare, $29 A refreshing pasta that can be served with marinara (red sauce) or white wine at your choice. We chose the latter, and the wine aroma blended with the freshness of the seafood, making the seafood even fresher and the pasta more refreshing. This pasta is a bit al dente, with a variety of seafood including shrimp, scallops, clams, and mussels, making it rich in content. 👍🏻 Post-meal Dessert Both desserts were stunning in appearance and taste! The Sorbetto al Limone lemon sorbet was refreshing and not greasy, while the Coconut Ripieno was a delicate coconut mousse with a complementary flavor. #Seattle #SeattleLife #FoodExploration #AtmosphericRestaurant #DateNightRestaurant #HiddenGemRestaurant #WeekendExploration #GoodThingsShare #DrinkingDaily #SeattleFood #SeattleExploration #SeattleWeekend #SeattleDaily #ExplorationReport #ItalianCuisine #RestaurantRecommendation
