Seattle Escape Plan — Giant Pork Knuckle in Leavenworth 🚗💨

About 2 to 2.5 hours drive from Bellevue (traffic has been pretty bad lately 😮‍💨) 📍First Stop: Leavenworth Adventure Park 🎢 Took a ride on the roller coaster – each ride is about 5 minutes long. You can control the speed yourself, and it fits either one or two people per car. There’s a photo spot at the first turn – make sure to fix your expression beforehand! 😂 📌 It’s better to book tickets online in advance (tax-free + ensures availability). You can choose between 1 or 2 rides – the 2-ride option comes with a 10% discount. 🛍️ While booking, you pick a time slot, but they’re not super strict. We arrived 20 minutes early and were allowed in. ⚠️ Bags aren’t allowed – best to leave them in the car. Keep your phone secure – if you drop it, the park isn’t responsible. 💰 Photos: $9 for one, $16 for two, $21 for three. 📍Second Stop: Giant German Pork Knuckle 🇩🇪 Restaurant: Andreas Keller Restaurant – opens at 11 AM 🐷 Pork Knuckle: $49.99, enough for 2-3 people. The crackling was pretty hard both times I went (and they don’t help cut it 🥲) 🌭 Sausages: A bit on the salty side and smoked. 📍Third Stop: Nutcracker Museum 🏬 A two-story small museum – $5 per person. They have a huge collection of nutcrackers from different eras and styles! 🤩 📍Fourth Stop: Exploring the Town The town is pretty small – you can explore it in about 1 to 1.5 hours. Shops are fairly similar: magnets, clothes, art pieces. 💡 Pro tip: The closer you get to the quieter (less crowded) edges of town, the cheaper the souvenirs. For example, a small (wine glass) magnet was $10 in the central shops but only $8 on the outskirts. 🦌 The reindeer farm is closed starting March – interested folks should wait till November! #EscapeTheCity #Seattle #Foodie #Nutcracker #Food #CarnivoreLifestyle
