Seattle Travel Guide: Southeast Asian Cuisine
Southeast Asian Food Series 🍽 1⃣️ Pho Bac Soup Shop - Vietnamese Noodles 🌟 Ordered the highly recommended $18 bone marrow pho—absolutely delicious! (Suddenly, the pho on the East Coast doesn’t taste as good anymore.) The coconut water 🥥 and Vietnamese coffee ☕️ were also fantastic. 2⃣️ Bangrak Market - Thai Cuisine 🌟 The restaurant is decorated in a Bangkok street night market style. Honestly, after trying several places, this one was the best. The table was set with four types of tangy and spicy dipping sauces, which were very refreshing. The Tom Kha Soup (coconut milk-based seafood tom yum) was exceptional. Other dishes like Crying Tiger, mango sticky rice, and a stir-fried instant noodle dish (whose name I forgot) were also great. 3⃣️ Taurus Ox - Laotian Cuisine 🌟 Finally tried the Laotian food I’d been craving—it’s quite rare to find. For Friday dinner, be prepared to queue and get a number. Ordered the Khao Soi, which is similar to Yunnan-style rice noodles. The Thom Khem (braised pork rice) and Chicken Laap (shredded chicken with lemon) were refreshingly tasty. The Jawe Bong sauce was unique—highly recommend trying it if you’re curious! 4⃣️ Bai Tong Thai Street Cafe - Thai Cuisine Stumbled upon this place in Capitol Hill, and it was pretty good. The tom yum noodles and curry were particularly flavorful. The Tom Kha Soup was a bit on the tangy side. 5⃣️ Kin Len Thai - Thai Cuisine Rumored to be the best Thai restaurant in Seattle. Even on a weekday, there was a line before 6 PM. The menu is extensive, and it’s hard to go wrong with any dish. We tried shrimp cakes, fried enoki mushrooms, green papaya salad, crab fried rice, beef hotpot, mango sticky rice, and more. #Seattle #SeattleTravel #SeattleFood #SeattleRestaurants#Southeast Asian Cuisine#food diary
