Second Visit to Tama β Still Shining! πΏπ
Recently wrote about West Townβs new gem Tama, and a suburban friend was so intrigued, we went back just two weeks later. π’ Beef Tenderloin Skewer β Juicy, saucy, and unexpectedly sweet β topped with truffle for extra luxury. π¦ Grilled Shrimp + Sea Greens β Plump, fresh, and bouncy β tasted straight from the coast. Sweet, tangy, with a hint of spice. π Avgolemono Ramen with Fried Chicken β A Greek lemon-rice soup reimagined as ramen! Bright, lemony broth with crispy chicken, fried garlic, and chili β creative and delicious. π Clam Pasta β Creamy, briny sauce highlighting clam freshness β though one clam had sand π π Short Rib Orzo (again!) β Loved it so much first time, had to reorder. Chatted with chef Avgeria Stapaki β she said the menu may change in two weeks, possibly removing this dish. I begged her to keep it! π° Complimentary Desserts β Chocolate ganache (again) + tiramisu. The tiramisu was perfectly soaked, not too sweet β definitely order it. Compared to spots like La Serre that claim βMediterranean vibes,β Tama feels authentically coastal and creative. With 3β4 people, you can try almost the whole menu. π Tama 1952 N Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60647 #TamaChicago #MediterraneanEats #WestTown #ChefChat #ShortRibOrzo #GreekFusion
