🍷 Secretly Operating for 20 Years… Chicago’s Best Italian Food! 🔥

😻 This Italian restaurant totally healed my spring break in Chicago! As a Boston-based student, I’m tearfully recommending — their risotto made me want to move here... (I’m still dreaming about it while writing this!) 📍 Sapori Trattoria ⏳ Est. 2001 | Closed Mondays | Reservations Recommended My two favorite dishes: 💗 Mushroom Risotto with Cheese – Huge portion, looks humble but tastes heavenly! Every Arborio rice grain is coated in rich sauce, and the wild aroma of two mushroom varieties hits you right in the soul… 💡 Risotto can easily be undercooked or too soft — but theirs is perfection! Easily top 3 in Chicago. 💗 Bread Pudding + Pistachio Gelato – Bread pudding baked crispy outside, tender inside… I couldn’t resist and finished the whole thing after dinner 🥺 Caramel sea salt gelato + raspberry sauce + warm pudding = ultimate dessert happiness! I wasn’t even planning to order gelato, but my friend did — and I ended up stealing half the bowl 🤦‍♀️ The pistachio flavor was so rich. Real Italian restaurants truly make the best gelato. Other dishes, honest review: 🥖 Complimentary bread – Just okay, save room for the mains. 🍝 Shrimp & Clam Pasta – Authentic flavor, fresh ingredients, pasta cooked soft (perfect for me). A safe and solid choice. 🥩 Burrata & Prosciutto – Had high expectations but was a bit let down. The bread was dry, prosciutto was average, though the cheese and spreads added nice texture. 📝 Afterthoughts: We arrived at 6 PM on a weekday, and the place was soon packed — mostly locals. The vintage decor and mood lighting make it super photo-friendly — no one minds if you use flash! 📸✨ A month later, I’m still missing it… Compared to those noisy, salty “trendy” downtown spots, this 23-year-old gem that thrives on word-of-mouth is Chicago’s real hidden treasure! Grab your friends and go try it! #HiddenGem #ChicagoEats #ItalianFoodChicago #SaporiTrattoria #StudyInTheUS #RisottoLove
