Southern USA Travels | Atlanta Diary (Part 2) πβ¨
After the aquarium, we headed across the street to the World of Coca-Cola π₯€. We explored Cokeβs history and secret formula β super interesting! Donβt miss the Beverage Lab on the first floor where you can create your own drink. The system tells you which machine number to try it on upstairs π§ͺ. On the second floor, you can take photos with the polar bear π»ββοΈ, visit the scent exhibit, and of course β the tasting room! Some flavors wereβ¦ interesting π (the Chinese one tasted like sour plum tea β I liked it, but the foreigners next to me were not fans π). The gift shop is fun too β I bought a Coke-shaped thermos. Guess what Iβll put in it β hot water or ice-cold Coke? βοΈπ§ Right across the street is Centennial Olympic Park ποΈ β small but nice for photos. Thereβs a Ferris wheel nearby too! At night, horse carriages with music fill the streets β such a vibe π πΆ. Day 3οΈβ£ Started at Krog Street Tunnel π¨ and walked north along the BeltLine Trail. Explored The Krog District β full of food spots, murals, and art installations. Saw the four steel monster sculptures near Shake Shack π². Rented a scooter near Brash Coffee π΄ and cruised slowly to Ponce City Market (speed limits enforced!). Ponce City Market is a trendy industrial-style building: 1F: Food stalls π 2F: Boutiques π 3F: Skyline Park with epic city views π Passed the graffiti chair and Tiny Door ATL #6 πΈ. Scootered to Piedmont Park β caught a jazz festival with food stalls π·. Ended at Atlanta Botanical Garden πΈ β loved the Alice in Wonderland plant sculptures! πΈ Photo Caption: Liu Happy and Her Happiness Balloons π π½οΈ Food Highlights Tedβs Montana Grill: Chain steakhouse with tender bison π β better than the one in Jackson! Mary Macβs Tea Room: Historic Southern comfort food π Jang Su Jang (Duluth): Korean braised short ribs β spicy and fall-off-the-bone tender πΆοΈ For Good Tea Overpriced and average (coming from a SoCal boba expert π§) π Peaches Alert: White peaches = 4401 π Yellow peaches = 4404 π #Atlanta #TravelDiary #CocaColaWorld #BeltLineATL #SouthernFood #ExploreGeorgia
