Stone Mountain: More Than Just a Rock
Formed over 300 million years ago, this exposed granite dome is truly a natural wonder—often called the world’s 8th largest wonder and one of the biggest single-stone monoliths on Earth! 🪨✨ Carved into its north face is the Confederate Memorial Carving, the largest and most spectacular high-relief sculpture in the world, though its history carries deep complexity. Walking around the summit offers sweeping panoramic views of Atlanta’s skyline in the distance—seeing the city from this height was absolutely breathtaking! 🌆 My favorite moments? 🧘 Lying flat on the warm stone, hugging a sturdy pine tree, and just breathing in the quiet energy of the place. Nature therapy at its best! We skipped the Skyride but hopped on the Scenic Railroad—a relaxing, nostalgic ride through the park’s beautiful landscape. ⛳ We also tried Mini Golf and… I think I found a hidden talent! Maybe a future pro? 😄 And finally—after what felt like forever—I had real Chinese hotpot again! 🍲 The bubbling broth, the dipping sauces, the thinly sliced meat… it tasted like home. Almost brought tears to my eyes. Really missing China right now. 🇨🇳❤️ Stone Mountain isn’t just a park—it’s an experience blending nature, history, play, and a taste of far-away home. #StoneMountain #AtlantaViews #NatureTherapy #HotpotLove #TravelMemories #GeorgiaTravel #Wanderlust
