Only gave one stars, cause I couldn't leave it blank. but my first recent visit UEI college was interesting. Once I've enter the door I notify the reception my schedule appointment to see an advisor she immediately gave me a form to request for my high school transcript along with my signature...that puzzle me and I found it odd but when I refuse she tried again this time I was annoyed and didn't like that rush approach. Again what's the hurry speak volume! Of course, the school is newly built and the classroom was impressive. As I'm touring the building we finally reach the Medical Billing Coding and Insurance class which is what I'm interested in. Love the hands on in the classroom is fewer than most what got me is when the advisor stated that program is a higher cost than all the programs there $ 20,000.00 it took me back cause for a program to cost that much why doesn't it include prep package study guide and practice test to prepare you for the CBCS exam and a voucher to cover the cost of the exam. Once you complete the internship you still need that CBCS license to be certified in applying for work. I'm a little skeptical about applying and may consider looking elsewhere. I've read reviews stating once you take that loan out the school expect you to pay as you attend school...they knew up front you didn't have the money before applying. FICA does require you to pay back a loan after graduation or no completion not while you're in school that spell greed when you pressure the student to pay back a loan while attending school not afterwards. My first impression with the receptionist rub me the wrong way even after touring the building even the advisor suggest that I complete the form again it just didn't set...
Read moreIf I could leave a no-star review, I would without hesitation. This is the most unprofessional school I’ve ever attended. Initially, I thought the staff genuinely wanted to help and support me, but that quickly changed.
I enrolled in the Dental Assistant program and completed it. I was told someone would help me find an externship site, but they didn’t. I had to find my own site. Similarly, I was told someone would help me find a job after my externship, but they didn’t either.
I contacted my school numerous times regarding these issues, but I received no response. I had to do everything on my own, with no support from the school. Since the job market was so bad, it took about 6-7 months for me to land my first dental job.
Two years after graduating from this school, I started receiving notifications asking if I had found a job yet. I told them I had and asked them not to contact me again, as it had been over two years since I had been enrolled.
To make matters worse, someone took it upon themselves to show up at my job that I had been given to ask questions about my employment. This was completely unprofessional and put my position in jeopardy.
This school cares nothing about your future success. They only care about closing out your file and taking your money while...
Read morePLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!! If I could give this school a 0 stars I would. I am a current student and as I would tell anyone else, joining this school would be a huge mistake. The only reason I am here is because its so expensive and the program i really wanted to attend had already began. They allow anyone to attend (including alcoholics and mentally ill people working in the healthcare programs), they have rats running in front of the building, there are physical altercations amongst students all the time, its extremely unorganized. High turnover of students and staff. The teachers are overwhelmed and overworked. Very rude and unprofessional staff. Unlike most schools they force you to pay while attending. It's $20,000. They keep your a refunds, scholarships and grants. If you miss a payment you're harassed and threatened by the collections office, who will belittle you for not having money. They don't care for the well being of their students. They literally just want your money. I've reported this institution to every educational department applicable. Unbeknownst to them, they have been keeping a very close watch. Please explore every option before...
