π Study Abroad Diary - Dallas Travel and Food Edition
Taking advantage of my friend's summer break, we visited Dallas! This entry mainly talks about the delicious food we tried π. Friends who want to visit and eat can refer to this. (My personal taste is on the lighter side.) π Tao Rice Roll This place mainly sells various rice rolls, soy milk, rice noodles, clay pot soup, and more. This wasn't our first choice for breakfast, but the noodle shop we initially planned to visit was closed, and the master at Li Ji's place told us we could only order after 10:45 AM, so we ended up here. πΆοΈ I ordered a clay pot black-boned chicken soup and a black and gold preserved vegetable rice roll. The chicken soup was simmered for a long time, and the meat was very tender, but the soup itself had almost no saltiness and might require additional salt. The rice roll tasted good, but it wasn't freshly made, and the rice was a bit hard and separate, not sticky rice. Their small bowl of rice noodles looked delicious! Unfortunately, we were too full to try them, haha. Friends who have the chance can give it a try. π Doma Seolleongtang This shop specializes in beef bone soup. When we visited, there were several tables of Korean customers, so I guess this place is quite authentic. We ordered the beef brisket and bone soup. The soup didn't contain the beef brisket chunks we expected but rather thin slices of beef brisket, but the portion was generous, and there were some rice noodles in the soup as well. The bone soup was very rich and also unsalted, requiring seasoning with salt and pepper. πEach serving of bone soup comes with some side dishes, dipping sauce, and a large bowl of scallion beef brisket slices. Dipping the beef brisket slices in their secret sauce was really delicious! Most importantly, it was very affordable, only $13 per serving! #Dallas #DallasFood
