Super Affordable and Well-Reviewed Former Michelin-Star Restaurant?
A Michelin-starred restaurant from 2021, now Michelin-recommended. It’s the kind of place I occasionally take friends to for its great location, comfortable environment, friendly prices, and diverse menu 🌟 After dining, you can also take a stroll around the nearby Navy Yard. The dishes are somewhat innovative (not groundbreaking), but they have widespread appeal, especially since the menu focuses on fusion cuisine with many Asian-inspired elements 🛎️ 💛 Hamachi Crudo The king of appetizers! Hamachi sashimi with crispy red onion, Thai chili, and avocado bits - the taste is super refreshing. 💛 Chicken Liver Mousse Chicken liver mousse with bread is hard not to like; it’s a must-order every time, though it’s hard to say it stands out more than others. 💛 Penne Pasta Another dish with rave reviews, also recommended for brunch. The meat sauce penne is well-seasoned, but the pork flavor is a bit heavy. 💛 Chicken Fried Quail A special on the menu, the quail is served with a mushroom and cream rice, keeping the quail juicy and the rice rich with a creamy mushroom flavor. 🤎 Lemongrass Hanger Steak It’s like a mix of Japanese noodles and steak; the noodles are delicious, reminiscent of tea restaurant fried noodles. The steak quality is too ordinary; the price might limit the choice of ingredients. 🤎 Fried Oysters Beautiful presentation, but the oysters are small and the taste is just so-so. 🤎 Caramelized Cauliflower This dish is highly recommended by many, but the sesame sauce was bitter and the lemon was too tart for my liking. After feedback, they kindly refunded us for this dish; it seemed to be overcooked 🫠🫠 #MichelinRestaurant #AmbientDining #WashingtonDC #WashingtonDCFood #DMV #DMVFood #FallFlavors #DMVFoodie
