Sushi Payce – Honest Review of Chicago's

As a serious buffet lover, I’ve been hoping Chicago would get a quality all-you-can-eat spot with fresh sashimi like back home. So when I heard Sushi Payce had opened, I booked right away. Overall, I’d say it’s pretty good value and worth trying! Ambiance: The interior lighting, music, and vibe are quite nice for a buffet spot. Tables are a bit close but still feel spacious. When booking, I saw “indoor” and “outdoor”—but “outdoor” here actually means tables near the windows facing the street, so better natural light.🙌👌 Recommended Dishes: 1️⃣ Agedashi Tofu – Honestly could compete with à la carte izakayas. Crispy thin shell, tender tofu inside—highly recommend! 2️⃣ Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice – Tasted almost identical to the version I had at Lure Fishbar. 3️⃣ Salmon Tartare Wonton – Super refreshing combo of crispy wonton skin, salmon sashimi, and mango. 4️⃣ Garlic Edamame – Garlic curry flavor—tasty and fun. 5️⃣ Poke Sashimi – Tried almost all; my favorite was yellowtail. Quality here is miles ahead of other AYCE Japanese spots in Chicago—way more generous and fresh. All in all, I hope Chicago’s buffet/AYCE scene starts competing more like NYC or Vegas, especially when it comes to seafood! 💰 Price: Dinner – $32.99 (full menu recommended) Lunch – $22.99 (not recommended unless you skip raw items) #ChicagoEats #ChicagoFoodie #AllYouCanEat #JapaneseBuffet #SushiLovers #AYCE
