Tary Coffee House - A Taste of Kazakhstan in Chicago 🇰🇿✨
It's been years since I last visited the American Midwest! This time, I returned to Chicago for an IEEE conference where I presented a paper and served as a session chair—what a perfect excuse to revisit this amazing city! 🎤📚 🍃 Nestled in Chicago’s River North, Tary Coffee House is a Halal-certified Kazakhstani tea and coffee spot with an incredible vibe. Super photogenic and perfect for a relaxed brunch or afternoon tea! 📸☕ 🧅 Baursaq with Irimshik – These soft, pillowy cheese balls are stuffed with cottage cheese and served with sweet condensed milk cream. Sweet, chewy, and absolutely addictive! A must-try! 🧀🍯 🥣 Tary Porridge – A comforting bowl of millet porridge cooked in milk, topped with pomegranate seeds, and served with a side of raspberry jam and organic ghee (clarified butter). Mix in the jam and ghee, and the flavors transform—creamy, slightly sweet, with a rich, buttery aroma. So unique and delicious! 🍓🔥 🫖 Kazakhstani Milk Tea – Of course, we had to try their signature drink! Fragrant tea infused with millet for a subtle, nutty texture. So warming and authentic! 🌾🍵 📍 Tary Coffee House 111 W Illinois St, Chicago, IL 60654 #Kazakhstan #Chicago #ChicagoEats #Foodie #BubbleTea #Trending #Viral #MustTry #FoodRecommendation
