Temporis Valentine's Dinner|Chicago Michelin 1-Star Review

We booked this dinner way in advance — couldn’t get Feb 14, so we went on Feb 12 instead. But honestly, any day together feels like Valentine's, right? 😜 Tried Temporis, a relatively new Michelin-starred spot in Chicago. Overall thoughts: flavors were good, ambiance pleasant, and the plating was absolutely stunning! We had the 5-course menu, but with extras like dessert, chocolates, and amuse-bouches, it ended up being more like 7–8 courses. Highlights: 🐟 Kampachi – Beautifully presented on a unique plate. A bit salty but the ingredient pairing was surprising and delightful. 🥟 Lobster Dumpling – Gorgeous plating again, though I couldn’t really taste much lobster. 🍖 Pork Belly – Delicious, with a perfect crispy-soft texture. Plating on point again! Not my favorites: 🍠 Sweet Potato Dish – The purple sweet potato underneath was too bitter for me. 🥟 Wagyu Dumpling – Didn’t really taste the beef texture, kinda plain. 🍮 Dessert (Pudding + Chocolate) – So yummy!! Definitely a sweet ending. With a set menu, there’s always hits and misses — but for $85 per person, I’d say it was a solid experience! Service was thoughtful too — I was cold and they offered a light shawl, and they customized the menu for my boyfriend due to his seafood allergy. They also sent us home with chocolates. 🍫 #TemporisChicago #MichelinStar #ValentinesDinner #FineDining #ChicagoEats #DateNight
