Spring break with budget-friendly Spirit Airlines tickets! ✈️💰 DAY 1⃣️ NY ✈️ Houston 🍜 The Pit Room – Texas BBQ If you’re in a group, go for the Sharing Platter! Five of us ordered the 4–6 person portion and were stuffed. The pork ribs were so tender they practically melted in your mouth 🥳. 📍 Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park A simple but pretty park with a circular water wall and a grassy lawn. Nice for a short stroll if you have time, but no need to go out of your way 💦. 📍 Smither Park – Mosaic Art Park Tucked away in what looks like a quiet residential area, this small park is filled with quirky art made from recycled “trash” and discarded items by local artists. A fun, creative stop if you enjoy unique art and design 🎨. DAY 2⃣️ Houston Exploration 📍 NASA Space Center 🔗 Buy tickets online in advance and choose your entry time. 📌 The Mission Control Tour requires an extra ticket (available as a package when booking). 🚌 The Blue Line (Astronaut Training) and Red Line (Rocket Park) tram tours are free but must be booked in person—the app can be slow, so head straight to the info desk to reserve your spot. 🍔 Food inside NASA includes BBQ burgers, fries, pizza, and more 🍟🌭. 📍 Texas Gun Club Walk-ins welcome—even if you’ve never shot before! They offer a shooting course, but note: it ends at 5 PM. If someone in your group has experience, staff may let you coach each other. 📌 Wednesday = Women’s Day – free gun rental for ladies! 🥰 🔫 Shooting in Texas is… refreshingly relaxed 😆. Two of us had only shot once before and still felt clueless, but after a quick safety intro, the staff let us choose our guns and left us to it. They’re around if you have questions but won’t hover. 💥 Shooting was a blast though—revolvers and semi-automatics are absolutely YYDS 🫡. 🍜 Jiu Fu Cafe Highlights: Pork Belly & Chicken Hot Pot, Lu Zhu (stewed offal), and Seafood Congee—all delicious and full of flavor! 🍲👌 ✅ Quick Takeaways Houston mixes down-home BBQ with space-age adventure 🤠🚀.
