The Best in Chicago – Akahoshi Ramen

The most delicious ramen in Chicago can only be my friend’s Akahoshi Ramen! 🍜❤️ Those who know me are well aware that I’m a huge fan of Ramenlord. Coincidentally, the chef couple from Omakase Yume have also been wanting to try Akahoshi Ramen, but every time the events drop on Tock, they sell out in seconds (last time, they even crashed the Tock website! 😱). So, I took advantage of the weekend to organize a ramen gathering—right at his place! This time, we tried the New Wave Shoyu (soy sauce) and Miso ramen. I fell in love with his miso ramen years ago because I’ve always preferred richer, bolder flavors. But surprisingly, the shoyu ramen was even more incredible! 🍜✨ No extra spices—just pure chicken broth and soy sauce for seasoning. Simple yet incredibly flavorful. The noodles were made by Mike himself, aged for two days, and cooked to perfection—firm yet delightfully springy with that perfect QQ texture! 😋👌 If you want to try Akahoshi Ramen, make sure to follow Ramenlord on Instagram! He occasionally posts updates about pop-up events, including times, locations, and links. But fair warning—it’s a true test of your reflexes and internet speed! ⚡🤳 #ChicagoLife #Chicago #Ramen #FoodieAdventures #ChicagoEats
