All about the Beaver Moon ------------------------- The November full moon, known as the “Beaver Moon,” occurs when the natural satellite is at its closest point in its earthly orbit, according to Space.com. Due to its close proximity, the moon will appear brighter and larger than usual. The supermoon will reach peak illumination at around 8 a.m. Wednesday, November 5. However, the best time to witness the phenomenon is tonight, as the Beaver moon reaches its brightest point. Additionally, the moon will remain nearly full on Wednesday night, meaning we’ll enjoy two full evenings of spectacular star gazing. Where to watch -------------- The National Weather Service predicts clear skies tonight and tomorrow, meaning the supermoon will be highly visible in Chicago.
