The French Restaurant at The Peninsula Chicago Has Reopened! 🥂
Heard from a friend that Pierrot Gourmet at The Peninsula is back in action — had to check it out right away! The new décor feels more Instagram-friendly and modern, though I personally miss the warm, woody tones of the original style 😌. The menu, however, hasn’t changed much — still the same delicious classics. Here are my must-try recommendations: 🧅 French Onion Soup – My personal favorite! Comes with a slice of baguette inside and a thick, melty cheese layer on top — so comforting and rich! Cheese lovers, this is a must. 🍕 Tarte Flambée – Think French-style pizza! Previously, they had a spinach-chicken-cranberry version — thin, crispy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend! 🥪 Panini – Solid and satisfying — the bread is toasted crispy outside while staying soft inside. 🍓 Fresh Fruit Tart – Most of their desserts run sweet for me, but this tart is lovely with fresh fruit and just the right level of sweetness. 🍬 Macarons – The shells are perfectly made, though the filling tends to be a bit too sweet for my taste. 📍 Address: 108 E Superior St, Chicago, IL 60611 ⏰ Note: They close at 3 PM daily, and last orders are taken at 2:30 PM! #ChicagoEats #PeninsulaChicago #FrenchCuisine #Reopened #BrunchSpot #ChicagoFoodie
