The Reigning King of Italian Cuisine in Chicago: Buona Terra Ristorant

Visited Buona Terra in Irving Park during Restaurant Week — no hesitation, five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! The Restaurant Week dinner is $45 and includes a full menu choice of Appetizer/Main/Dessert. You can order items worth up to $90 — such a great deal! Plus, the complimentary bread is freshly baked 🍞, with a homemade feel, and it’s free to refill 😋. Appetizers: The Calamari had a thin, crispy coating and wasn’t greasy at all, paired with fresh tomato sauce — delicious! 🦑 The Prosciutto with truffle oil was also a classic Italian flavor, savory and aromatic 🍖✨. Main Courses: We ordered the Spaghetti ai gamberetti 🍝 — a lightly sautéed tomato seafood pasta. The pasta texture was perfect, and the seasoning was well-balanced, allowing both tomato and herb flavors to shine 🌿🍅. The Pollo affumicato (Italian-style chicken breast with tomato and mashed potatoes) was decent but not outstanding — maybe try something else next time. We’re eager to try the thin-crust pizza 🍕 next, which almost every table ordered! Desserts are a must-try! The Tiramisu is the best I’ve had in Chicago — just the right sweetness, creamy texture, and you can taste the hint of liqueur ☕🍰. The Cheesecake was incredibly smooth and rich, without being overly sweet (though I have a sweet tooth, so take that with a grain of salt 😉). This restaurant isn’t about avant-garde innovation, but the food quality is excellent, prices are reasonable, and the desserts are truly outstanding. I’ll definitely be back even outside Restaurant Week! 🍴 Buona Terra Ristorante 📍 3608 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago 📅 Reservations recommended — it was fully packed by 6 PM! #ChicagoRestaurantWeek #BuonaTerra #ItalianFood #ChicagoEats #BestTiramisu #PastaLovers
