This Chicago Museum Just Launched an Escape Room Experience—and Tickets are Still Available

If you’ve been to any of Chicago’s world-class museums, you know that venturing from one exhibit to the next can be overwhelming. With so much to learn, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Well one Chicago institution is breaking the traditional museum-going mold, giving guests a guided way to explore its collections and learn something new along the way. The Griffin [Museum of Science and Industry](https://secretchicago.com/chicago-museum-exhibitions/) (MSI) has relaunched Escape the Museum, following a sold-out run in 2024. The late-night escape room experience challenges visitors to solve puzzles within some of its most popular exhibits. Here’s an inside look at all the fun and where you can snag tickets. A scavenger hunt through science and history -------------------------------------------- Escape the Museum guides guests through four MSI exhibits: The Henry Crown Space Center, Science Storms, Extreme Ice, and Transportation Gallery. Players are tasked with decoding riddles, identifying patterns, and uncovering clues throughout each exhibit. By embarking upon this interactive scavenger hunt, guests will gain an intimate understanding of each exhibit, forging new connections to historical narratives and the natural world. Tickets, time slots, and more info ---------------------------------- Tickets are available now for Escape the Museum on select dates throughout September and October: September: 6, 20, 26 October: 5, 11, 12, 17, 24 Interested parties can choose a time slot from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The full Escape the Museum experience takes approximately 50-90 minutes to complete.
