This Japanese Market in Chicago Is Absolutely Amazing to Explore! 🏪
🏘️ Mitsuwa Marketplace 💭 Who wouldn’t love a one-stop market combining a Japanese grocery store, bookstore 📚, food court, dessert shops, bakery 🥐, and even gachapon toy machines?! 🎏 It’s actually quite far from downtown, but it’s super close to the airport ✈️—perfect for a pre-flight visit if you plan ahead! 🧳⏰ Right after entering, on the left, there’s a huge bookstore filled with original Japanese manga and adorable figurines—so cute! 📖🎌 Next to it, J.sweets offers the famous Hattendo cream buns I’ve been dreaming about! 🍵 The matcha cream bun is incredibly soft and not too sweet—pure delight! 😋 The supermarket section is packed with imported Japanese chips, drinks, snacks, fresh sushi 🍣, and even an on-site bakery! 🥖 The food court’s Volcano Ramen 🍜 wasn’t as fragrant as the one I tried in Vancouver, but still tasty! The curry omelet rice next door was also delicious 🍛👌 Plus, there’s Royce chocolate and Lady M nearby—you could easily spend 1–2 hours exploring here! ⏳🍰 No need to make a special trip, but definitely drop by if you’re passing through! 🛒💫 #Foodie #MarketExploration #ImmersiveShopping #HiddenShoppingGem #RetailTherapy
