This Traditional Mexican Mezcal Festival Returns To L.A. For Its 2nd Year

Mezcal Por Siempre, founded by Iván Vásquez and Rocío Flores and produced by Riqueza Projects, is more than just a festival. The festival is more than an event. It’s a gathering that embodies culture, resistance, and celebration , creating a space where Mexican identity and community are honored through mezcal, food, music, art, and storytelling . This year the experience expands with dynamic visual arts programming, thought-provoking installations, and meaningful community collaborations, all while maintaining its commitment to uniting mezcaleros, chefs, artists, and activists in one shared space. What is Mezcal Por Siempre? --------------------------- Mezcal Por Siempre is about connection, bringing together the traditions of mezcaleros from rural Mexico and the vibrant energy of Los Angeles. The festival bridges borders, showing that culture is alive, adaptable, and unifying. By gathering maestras, maestros, chefs, artists, and activists, it affirms that mezcal is more than a drink. Mezcal is memory, resilience, and a shared language between Mexico and Los Angeles. This year’s programming at Mezcal Por Siempre also highlights the dignity of campesino and migrant labor.
