Tiny Fern — Chicago Pop-Up Dinner Series 🐟✨
I’ve tried most of Chicago’s pop-up dinners, but Tiny Fern SupperClub was one I kept missing — until now! Finally got a seat at their latest theme: Fancy Fish Fry. 🐟 Started with an appetizer spread featuring: ▪️ Deviled eggs with trout roe ▪️ Trout mousse ▪️ Vinegar-cured anchovies ▪️ Bread and crackers ▪️ Fresh crudités and pickles Everything was delicious — no misses here! (But then again, I’m a seafood lover at heart. 🐠❤️) 🐟 Upgraded with caviar — served with classic accompaniments similar to Heritage Caviar’s setup, though the quality itself was just okay. 🐟 Main course: fish and chips — perfectly crispy outside, tender inside, with no fishy taste at all. So good! 🐟 Dessert: classic pineapple upside-down cake — not overly sweet, just the natural caramelized goodness of the fruit. Without the caviar add-on, the whole menu was only $55 — an incredible deal. I was so full I had to take the main course home! 🍍📦 Definitely a pop-up I’d return to.
