Today I’m sharing a hidden gem near Seattle

🚗 Transportation It’s about a 2-hour drive from downtown Seattle. The scenery along the way is stunning, especially in April when everything comes back to life—endless fields of flowers and snow-capped mountains are absolutely beautiful. On the way back, we even passed a breathtaking stream! 🅿️ Parking Once you arrive, the Waterfront Park parking lot is a great spot and free on weekends. If you arrive late, there are paid parking options around, but spaces can be limited. 🏘️ Village Vibe It’s like stepping into a German fairy tale! Front Street is a must-visit—colorful buildings, pointed roofs, and every window and door is decorated with charming details, full of rustic German charm. The street is lined with unique little shops: handicraft stores filled with delicate wood carvings and ceramics, sweet treat spots, and more. 🎨 Must-Visit Attractions 1️⃣ Nutcracker Museum: Home to thousands of nutcrackers, from antique pieces to modern creative designs—each with its own story. So artistic! (And today I even snagged a super affordable yet beautifully crafted one! 🤩) 2️⃣ Greater Leavenworth Museum: Perfect for learning about the town’s history and culture. 3️⃣ Leavenworth Reindeer Farm: An incredibly heartwarming experience! Feed adorable reindeer up close—so cute! 🦌 🍽️ Food Recommendations 1️⃣ Ludwig's: You have to try their German pork knuckle—golden, crispy skin with tender meat inside. Served with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes, it’s absolutely delicious! Their German sausages are also a must—juicy and bursting with flavor. The beer is great too—we tried three kinds, and the darker ones were richer and more flavorful. 🍖🍺 2️⃣ Münchenhaus: A paradise for hot dog lovers! Choose from dozens of sauces—every bite is pure satisfaction. 🌭 3️⃣ Whistlepunk Ice Cream: A unique ice cream shop with creative flavors. We waited in a long line, but it was totally worth it. Perfect for a sweet break while exploring! 🍦 🎈 Travel Tips 1️⃣ If you visit during the Oktoberfest or Christmas lighting ceremonies in October and December, the village gets super lively—be sure to book restaurants and accommodations in advance! Leavenworth is definitely worth a trip! Grab your friends and go~ 💃✨ #Leavenworth #GermanVillage #WeekendGetaway #TravelTheWorld #OffTheBeatenPath #UniqueTravelExperiences #Travel
