Visited the recently opened Gioia Ristorante Pastificio in West Loop. The chef previously worked at Coco Pazzo and — instead of turning to takeout during the pandemic — decided to open a brand‑new restaurant (brave move!). 🦀 Soft‑Shell Crab & Fried Zucchini Blossoms Seasonal treats I can never resist — crispy, light, and delicious. 🍜 Tagliatelle di Mare A seafood pasta that leaned a bit too salty even for my salt‑tolerant palate. Reading other reviews, many recommend the Ramen di Pesce instead (lobster‑broth based) — guess I’ll try that next time. 🍰 Millefoglie Napoleon‑style pastry with vanilla mousse and pistachio gelato — a lovely, balanced dessert.
