Two-Hour Wait for Chicago's Signature Deep Dish Pizza

🍕After some comparison, we chose Lou Malnati's Pizzeria among the three most famous deep dish pizza places in Chicago. The main reason was its proximity to our hotel, just a 10-minute walk away, and its excellent location. Plus, it seemed that their deep dish pizza looked more delicious than another well-known place, Giordano’s pizza. This restaurant has many branches in Chicago, but they all have one thing in common—they are extremely popular. It's recommended to make a reservation online a day in advance; otherwise, if you walk in for dinner, you'll likely have to wait for 1.5 to 2 hours.🍕 🍕We had a reservation for 6:30 PM, and when we arrived, there were already many people waiting outside, sitting on the steps. We had studied the menu beforehand and knew that a small pizza would be more than enough for two people, as the pizza is baked to order and takes 30-45 minutes to be served after ordering. So, we started with a Malnati Salad while we waited. This salad was also huge and quite tasty, which helped to balance the richness of the pizza to come. My spouse hesitated for a long time between The Lou and The Malnati Chicago Classic. Eventually, based on the pictures, ingredients, and online reviews, we chose the most popular one in the restaurant, The Lou. It's essentially a vegetable pizza with a lot of cheese. The cheese can be well done or gooey, and we opted for well done.🍕 #Chicago #ChicagoTravel #ChicagoFood #ChicagoTravelGuide #Pizza
