Uncover the Secret World of Reptiles at the Field Museum’s New “Reptiles Alive!” Exhibition
The Field Museum is bringing visitors up close in person with exotic reptiles like never before with its latest exhibition “Reptiles Alive!” A unique reptilian journey -------------------------- The family-friendly exhibition takes viewers on an explorative journey through the diverse ecosystems and lifestyles of 20 different reptile species from around the world. The scaly critters on exhibit include a 14-foot-long reticulated python and a playful Cuban rock iguana. While admiring the live animals, guests will also enjoy interactive features like mechanical displays demonstrating how the creatures move, hunt for food, and evade predators. Gaining a deeper understanding of our cold-blooded friends ---------------------------------------------------------- Reptiles Alive! seeks to challenge commonly accepted notions of reptiles, helping viewers overcome any fear and cultivate an appreciation for each species. “When you learn more about an animal, it becomes a lot less scary,” says Associate Curator of Herpetology and *Reptiles Alive!* content developer, Sara Ruane. “You don’t necessarily have to love them to appreciate that they’re extremely cool.” Source: https://secretchicago.com/field-museum-reptiles-alive-exhibition-2025/
