【Vatican】 Ristorante "La Vittoria" 🏰
This Roman restaurant is located not far from the exit of St. Peter's Basilica. We encountered many locals and clergy coming out of the church for a meal, which makes us believe it's a very authentic restaurant. The taste indeed did not disappoint; we were pleasantly surprised by the signature fried meatballs and tripe, both of which were delicious. We, two people, ordered a bit more than necessary, but fortunately, the taste was so good that we almost finished everything on our plates: ➡️ Bresaola (Tomato, mozzarella, bresaola, rocket salad, and parmesan cheese): This pizza features Italian air-dried beef, which we tried unexpectedly. The salty meat paired with arugula tasted surprisingly good. ➡️ Risotto alla crema di gamberi (Rice with shrimp cream): It was our first time trying risotto in Italy, and it was moderately flavored, with the characteristic firm texture. The shrimp cream sauce is hard to mess up—it's always delicious. ➡️ Fried sampler: Suppli (Fried rice croquette filled with meat sauce and pieces of mozzarella), Fiori di Zucca (Courgette flowers with mozzarella and anchovies), Sanpietrino amatriciana (Fried pasta croquette filled with jowl bacon, tomato, and pecorino cheese). These were particularly oily and distinctive, with the taste of fried rice balls. ➡️ Trippa alla romana (Tripe in the Roman style): This was the most surprising. If you like tripe, you must give it a try. #RestaurantAdventures #ItalianCuisine #HiddenGemRestaurantShare #RestaurantRecommendations #WeeklyFoodCheckIn #ExoticCuisine #GlobalFoodExplorers #UnforgettableFoodExperience
