La Vittoria — Restaurant in Teramo

We would give this place 10 stars if we could. The owner Marco was super friendly and helpful despite the language barrier. We ordered ragu pappardelle and a truffle gnocchi for first course. They were served together with freshly grated sheep cheese. We chose to share the pappardelle first and took our time enjoying it. It was excellent. By the time we finished, Marco came and offered to heat up the gnocchi for us. So nice of him. The dish came back recooked with added mushrooms. Such exquisite service. The portions of food was enormous and we had trouble finishing the 2 first courses. Marco saw that we were full and just cancelled the second course of grilled lamb skewers for us. Das war ein Erlebnis, wie man es sich nur wünschen kann: in einer völlig unspektakulären Gasse der Altstadt versteckt liegt diese sympathische Trattoria mit Ihrem noch sympathischeren Besitzer Marco Calvarese. Natürlich spricht er nur Italienisch - aber so, dass wir ihn als Touries gut verstehen können. Und natürlich gibt es keine Karte - Marco erklärt uns, was heute zu haben ist. Wir bestellen hervorragende, natürlich hausgemachte Gnocchi mit Steinpilzen und Trüffeln für zwei, anschließend gebratene Kalbfleischtranchen mit Tomaten, Rucola und Parmesan für einen. Zum Schluss gibts noch ein Stück Torta da Casa. Alles mit Wein, Wasser und Espresso für gerade mal 40€ - wirklich reell!
