Visiting a museum? This time it’s not for the 'gram
But for the knowledge 😏 On our first day in Athens, we visited the National Archaeological Museum. Here, you can see artworks and artifacts spanning more than three thousand years from the Neolithic period to the Hellenistic period. Whether it’s marble sculptures, bronze statues, or murals, they all showcase the exquisite skills and unique charm of ancient Greek art. Let me share a few impressive exhibits: 🧩 The Golden Mask of Agamemnon: The centerpiece on the first floor of the museum! Shining brightly, it’s one of the museum’s “treasures.” In 1876, German archaeologists unearthed this mummy with a mask in Mycenae and identified it as the tomb of Agamemnon. Agamemnon was the king of Mycenae in ancient Greece, who initiated the famous Trojan War. 🧩 The Boxer Youth Mural: A complete mural discovered on Crete, depicting a scene of everyday life in ancient Greece, very vivid and compelling. #AllAboutArt #Antiquities #CulturalSpots #Fujifilm #FujifilmXT4 #XSpaceFujifilmPhotoSharing #MustVisitMuseums #Museum #SculptureArt #OffTheBeatenPath #Greece #GreekTravel #AncientGreece #MuseumCheckIn #MuseumAdventures #History #FUJIFILMBeautifulColors #ArtWorks #ArtAppreciation #MuseumPhotography #RecommendedExhibitions
