Weekend Getaway from the Bay Area
π Secret Cove β Like Walking into a Dream Tahoe in early May, even without snow, is still full of surprises. Gem-like lakes, crystal-clear waters with visible stones, and sunbathing travelers (some in their natural state π€«)... π Driving Route: Navigate to Secret Cove Naked Beach π§. Park along the mountain roadside. Getting down to the beach isnβt easy, but the view is worth it! Tips: 1οΈβ£ Walk along the mountain path until you find small slopes or wooden stairs πͺ΅ leading downward (we initially missed them and ended up sliding down a dirt slope!). Follow the well-trodden dirt path for about 20 minutes, and youβll arrive. 2οΈβ£ There are two directions: For Secret Cove Beach ποΈ, face the water and go left. For Secret Cove Naked Beach π€«, go right π. The uphill return is noticeably faster than the downhill climb β guess itβs easier to go up than down! Along the way, everything I love β forests π², snow-capped mountains ποΈ, shimmering lakes π§, bright sunshine, and temperatures under 20Β°C β blended into this dreamlike landscape... #Tahoe #TahoeTravel #HiddenGem #RoadTrip #BayAreaWeekends #NatureEscape #TravelDiary ποΈβ¨
