Weekend Visit to Kasama in Chicago π₯
The food here was pretty good overall β after waiting an hour and a half, it had to be! Tried a few of their popular items: π Truffle Croissant β Strong truffle aroma, crispy and flaky. A must-try for truffle lovers. π¦ Foie Gras Danish β Pretty sure it's duck liver (didnβt confirm with staff though π ). Savory with a hint of sweetness and a light floral note at the start. My favorite of the pastries! π Ube Huckleberry Basque Cake β Iβm not usually into ube, but the tart huckleberry balanced the sweetness well. π΅π Filipino Breakfast Plate β Ordered the signature breakfast (even though it was noon π). You can choose sausage or tocino (like sweet cured pork), or get both. I got just the tocino (not a fan of sweet sausage), but my friend who tried both said the sausage wasnβt as good. Tasted similar to Hong Kong-style char siu rice. Overall, the pastries were delicious but pricey β felt like $2 per bite πΈ If you donβt need to dine in, you can order online for pickup and skip the wait! #KasamaChicago #FilipinoFood #PastryLover #BrunchGoals #ChicagoEats #FoodieReview
